Running a community

You decide who’s in your group and what’s listed in it

Nothing else. Everything about people’s accounts is ours, and everything about your neighbours is yours.

You can

Add or decline someone asking to join, and remove a member.

Take a listing out of your group.

Read reports a member chose to send you.

You can’t, and shouldn’t be asked to

Ban anyone from JapaMarket. Only we can, and we do.

Read anyone's chats, or see what happens in other groups.

Settle a money argument between two members. Send them to us.

Nobody is told it was you

Declines and removals come from “the admins”. You live on the same street as these people, and that’s deliberate.

If a report worries you

Every report a member forwards to you, we’ve already seen. You never have to act to make sure something is handled — you’re a copy, never the safety net.
